Record your reaction!<\/p>\n A lot of people will say that you shouldn’t get political, because you can potentially alienate half your potential audience. <\/p>\n On the flip-side, it can also make you that much more popular with fans who do share your political views. <\/p>\n This is dangerous territory, so it’s up to you!<\/p>\n Try making a song in an extreme time crunch, or using non-traditional instruments like household items!<\/p>\n Just make some fun songs under some fun restraints. <\/p>\n Andrew Huang does a great job of this! <\/p>\n Share your story up ’til now. How did you get into music? What obstacles did you have to overcome? What successes have you had? Setbacks? <\/p>\n Show your fans where you live! They love getting a look at your “normal” life. <\/p>\n What gear is your favorite? How has it helped you make better music? <\/p>\n Make some mini documentaries on the making of certain songs or albums. Take your fans deep behind the scenes! <\/p>\n Just keep that camera rolling while your in the studio and I’m sure you’ll wind up with some interesting bloopers to share. <\/p>\n Document yourself shopping for new costumes, gear, or materials for your studio!<\/p>\n Here’s an example of how we did it. <\/p>\n Share the meanings behind your songs! Probably better for those whose lyrics are more ambiguous, and the meaning isn’t quite clear. <\/p>\n Thank your fans for their support!<\/p>\n Go live on Facebook or in a Google Hangout and let your fans ask you anything! Then take that video recording and add it to YouTube. <\/p>\n You’re already hard at work recording and mixing your music on your computer. Record your screen and share your progress with your fans! <\/p>\n If you have a large enough fanbase, you probably have some fans who are musicians themselves.
